Liffey Bridge, DublinKenneth Grubb Associates Ltd were appointed by Dublin Docklands Development Authority to provide mechanical and electrical engineering supervision for the new Liffey twin leaf Swing Bridge. A pioneering approach was taken by KGAL and partners on the project: the hydraulic and electrical equipment is built into the bridge, avoiding the need for a separate plantroom. The main contractor was John Mowlem Construction Ltd, who sub-contracted the design and building of the bridge to Qualter Hall. KGAL worked with architects Brian O'Halloran & Partners Ltd and engineers O'Connor Sutton Cronin. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
