Jersey, Elizabeth Marina St Helier
As part of a wider land reclamation process in St Helier, the States of Jersey have developed a new marina to be known as Elizabeth Marina.
The States own Public Services Department (PSD) Engineers undertook the Civil Engineering design. Kenneth Grubb Associates Ltd (KGAL) were commissioned to assist the PSD and help to develop a specification and tender document.
Amec Marine won a competitive tender to Design the Entrance Gates and build the Marina, which was formally opened by the Duke of York on 15th May 1998.
Posford Burns were appointed as the Gate detail designer and KGAL played a full part in approving this, as well as attending workshop tests and overseeing the installation and commissioning of the entrance works.
