Kenneth Grubb Associates Ltd have considerable experience in utilising finite element analysis both for their own projects and make this service directly available to our Clients. Our engineering staff deliver cost effective investigations and we are pleased to assist in solutions to unusual structures or loading circumstances.
We are used to working on projects with demanding time-scales and budgets.
We will be pleased to discuss problems associated with structures which do not easily lend themselves to hand calculations and require the in depth analysis which only computers can provide. We can undertake structural assessments relating to:
- Individual or combined load cases;
- Linear or non-linear material behaviour;
- Static or dynamic load conditions;
- Modal analysis;
- Shock and vibration analysis;
- Thermal analysis;
We are able to work directly with your own engineers to provide specialist advice on the performance of your designs or alternatively we act as an independent validation organisation.
We have provided finite element analysis for a number of projects including:
- A 2100 tonne boat lift in Scotland;
- A radial gate used for the regulation of reservoir releases;
- A special hydraulically operated cable gripping device used for the erection of massive suspension bridges;
- A complex detail for a special hydraulic cylinder used for sub-sea applications;
- A fishbelly gate used as a controlling device for a dam in Wales;
We would be pleased to discuss your own special needs, why not contact Ken Grubb or Russ Digby.
