Eastern Barrier
KGAL is assisting Halcrow with a three year project for the EA to provide consultancy support for five barriers consisting of Colne Barrier, Tilbury Barrier, Benfleet Barrier, Easthaven Barrier and Fobbing Barrier.
KGAL has previously worked on all of these sites through Halcrow.
The new project will look at the engineering needs of the barriers to provide a flood defence through to 2050 and is part of the long run investment by the Environment Agency in the Thames Tidal Defences. |
