Boat Actuator Connections
As part of the development of a sub-sea vehicle delivery and recovery system, a major international manufacturer of hydraulic engineering equipment needed to assess the stress and load flow around an unusual actuator end connection.
KGAL undertook the analysis of the connection using finite element analysis techniques. This showed that there were potential problems associated with the design. We worked together with their design department and developed an alternative design which satisfied the structural requirements and could be built within their budget.
The eventual actuator successfully passed its testing phase, leading to further orders from a satisfied Client. We believe this to be a perfect example of partnering with our Clients and others. |
