As part of a team comprising Hopkins Architects and Expedition Engineering, KGAL reached the final stage of a prestigious design competition and invited to submit a innovative proposal for the new Halley VI British Antarctic Survey Station.
The design brief required a proposal with built in mobility to facilitate moving the complete station when dictated by the uniquely severe ambient conditions.
Our proposal received technical acclaim, being capable of moving independent of any outside assistance, but carried higher initial capital cost.
