Inspection and commissioning of Unstepping equipment; Supervision and control of Unstepping operation, including; Preparation work by Divers; Setting to work of Unstepping equipment; Planning of Unstepping operations to suit tidal conditions; Supervision of Unstepping operation; Control of gate buoyancy during towing; Berthing of gate on Ship lift; Inspection of Gate structure and preparation of report for refurbishment; Inspection of Hydraulic operating and Electrical control equipment and preparation of report for refurbishment
Notes - The gate was installed in 1985; It was originally designed by KGAL Engineers; It is semi buoyant during operation with permanent buoyancy chambers and internal tidal chambers; The gate had to be removed during the hours of darkness to suit tidal times and levels
